Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Get Started?

Simply come out to the club, stop into the clubhouse and check in at the front counter.  The club manager or counter person will advise you which field you may shoot on.  Fields are not reserved - they are on a first come, first served basis...except when there is League Shooting scheduled.

How Do the Targets Get Thrown?

Our skeet fields are fully automated, with remote controls, and are operated by you, the shooter.  Generally two or more shooters pull targets for each other, or have a non-shooter pull for them.

What if I Come Out and the Fields are Full?

At most times there are fields open for practice shooting.  Exceptions are during registered shoots or scheduled outings.  Check your monthly newsletter, or the NPGC web site, to see if any registered shoots or outings are scheduled, or call ahead to the club.  If an open field is not available, it is usually only a short wait, or you may be asked to join in with a smaller group already shooting.  Don't worry - this is routine!  Shooters are welcome to join in on any short squads, and it is an ideal way to meet other members and shooters.  Almost to a soul, you will find your fellow shooters quite accommodating and helpful.

When and How do I pay?

As a member, you are able to shoot at a discounted round rate. typically, payment for rounds shot and ammunition purchased from the club are settled when you are done shooting.  Simply be sure to stop into the clubhouse to pay before leaving.
