Teacher of the Year
The Public School Committee opened applications for the 2008 Grand Lodge of Iowa Teacher of the Year. These applications are due on June 1, 2008 for the award that will be given to a public school teacher during the Grand Lodge Session in Des Moines.
T.S. Parvin Award
The IOWA CONFERENCE FOR MASONIC COOPERATION applications for the TS Parvin Award for the year 2008 are open. Presentation will be at the Grand Lodge Session in Des Moines.

Nominations must be received by May 15, 2008 for consideration.

!!!! Neighborhood Area Meetings Now in Progress !!!!
Meetings are presented by members of the Lodge Service Committee. Plan to attend one in your area. All start at 7:00 p.m.
List of Dates and Places in PDF Form Grand Master's Eastern Iowa One Day Class will be held in Iowa City on August 23, 2008.

Now is the time to identify those acquantances that should be approached about joining the Fraternity. You have the time now to get a petition, ballot taken, and one day application. Do wait too long if your lodge goes dark during the summer months.

Hope Lodge Project Grand Master Donald E. Mosier has taken on Hope Lodge as a project. In addition to the contributions received from the mailing of his pin, he is requesting all lodges have an event that promotes Hope Lodge and makes a contribution to this worthwhile project. it is a Home away from home for certain cancer patients.

Cookbooks for Sale Cookbooks prepared by Carol Mosier, wife of the Grand Master are for sale with proceeds going to Hope Lodge. Although Christmas gift giving is past, maybe this is a good way to use some of your money received, or plan to use these cookbooks for birthday gifts, or just to see what recipes the masons have contributed.
