Lincoln Desk Marker

During Abraham Lincoln's tenure in the House of Representatives, House Members drew their seats by lot, so on December 8, 1847, Lincoln acquired desk location #191. If you search the floor, you will find bronze markers noting the desk locations of Members like Lincoln who became President. Lincoln's marker was placed on August 1, 1974.
